Amazingly good food Shannon is the best waitress ever!!
I tell everyone...who may be traveling on Highway 50 to make sure and make this a meal stop! Breakfast or lunch is amazing! Great, homestyle cooking from scratch. Really delicious. Service is off the chart friendly! Breakfast and lunch run about $7.00. The menu offers something for everyone in your group. We purposely take this route to Denver...just so we can eat there! The locals love it, and you'll be made to feel right at home.
Love eating breakfast there!
When you go into an unknown, mom-n-pop diner in a small town, you could be in for one of the best meals of your life, or one of the worst. Lucky for us, Copper Kitchen served one of the best. A friendly, helpful but laid-back staff dishes up an uncomplicated but tasty menu, and many items carry an option to add roasted green chile (aka Colorado comfort food). I'm amazed to have paid so little for such delicious, satisfying food.
Absolutely love this place. The staff is unbeatable. Other places in La Junta, cannot even compete. CK is legit.
They were open for dining when we went in on 6/28! The food came out fast and was delicious. Easy on the wallet, too. Everyone here was super friendly and went out of their way to make us out-of-towners feel welcome. I got the chicken fried steak (still thinking about it hours later...) and then I got a side of pork green chili to pour over the biscuit that came with it. This is my new go-to stop on my way out camping!!
Great food, great service. Quick and courteous
Tired of the chain restaurants? The Copper Kitchen is where all the locals go. Been there about 8 times. Very fast and good. We love the French Dip and Steak Sandwich. Reasonable prices. Great service from a family operated business.
The ABSOLUTE BEST option in La Junta. PERIOD If you want the best,.. go to the best. The best food. The best atmosphere. The best get-together in La Junta is at the Copper Kitchen. Thanks Adam Julie and Larry. Love it.
Ask for Carolyn and you won't be disappointed! Nice family run restaurant.. "Home cooking" at it's best. Will definitely stop if we're ever in La Junta again.
I stopped in after dropping my puppy off with Dr Mona Faust. The food was perfect! I ordered over medium eggs and that's what I got! The service was outstanding! Caroline was my server and she was delightful! If I'm ever in the area I will definitely go back!
We stopped by here on our way back to Texas. One of those I'm hungry let's stop places and turned out to be a real Jewel. The food was excellent prices were great and everyone was very friendly. Highly recommend
Great place. Friendly staff...owners and every server greeted us during our visit. Servers were efficient. Food was tasty. Syrup for pancakes was warm. Liked the decor, too. Be sure to visit this place next time you are in La Junta...you'll be glad you did.
Very nice, place. Second time we went there, despite a restaurant full of people, our waitress remembered exactly what we ordered last time. I thought that was awesome. Made us feel right at home, and welcome.
Friendly service, great food. Typical small town diner, we loved it!
Fresh homemade food and friendly service!
Beston chicken fried steak breakfast..
Loved it!Folks so friendly.FOOD WAS SOO GOOD.Hometown prices.
Fast and friendly service and great comfort food. Overall a nice experience.
Fast, friendly, affordable. Great family dining.
Absolutely, love this place! It's the epitome of a hometown restaurant. It's the heart of the valley,💗 with the best food and the greatest customer service. 💗
Excellent food and service. Every single person on the staff was very pleasant and great with out kids.
(This review is from my visit sometime ago)The owner was great and enjoyable to talk with. The staff was kind and attentive. The food was good and felt like I was sitting at my grandma's table. Overall, a great place to stop when in the area.
This place is horrible, over priced for garbage. Hash browns not fully cooked and definitely not hot. 3 pcs of the smallest bacon strips, biscuit and gravy not good either.
The staff! Happy, singing, whistling... Great way to start the day. Great selection, good value, good breakfast. I wish just passing through and was lucky enough to find this place. Looks like a great place for a family and counter top seating for singles like me. Larry is a treasure!
Good old fashion Dinner! Fast good comfort food! Soup was homemade and delicious!
Friendly workers, good and cheap food!
September 26,2019. Fantastic hometown restaurant with excellent food and friendly service. I'm related to Shirley Ann and Larry Tucker. (They own and manage this business.) Shirley Ann Tucker and my grandmother Shirley Jean Hockman-Warren grew up together. What a blessing to be home "Colorado"!
When we arrived it was very busy, it took several minutes to get menus as (as we expected). But once we got them the waiter was extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was good, but my husband said that the gravy didn't have a much flavor and to me the green chili needed more seasoning but overall was good.
Food and service were absolutely amazing as usual. Best breakfast joint in this hands down.
Great hospitality and friendly people! Definitely recommend if you have a quick stop on the train. Great service and they will top off your coffee!!!
Passing through with the family. Great stop with friendly service, good value and tasty food. We felt very welcome with fun atmosphere!
Best place to get home cooking. No packaged meals heated up in a microwave like some places, I won't mention names! Also fast, great, friendly service and delicious food!!!
If you are in the area this is a perfect place to stop for a bite to eat. Super friendly staff and food was delicious. I think I smiled the entire time. Definitely would recommend.
Very friendly people. Fair prices and good food. It is just plain a good feeling to dine here.
It was ok for diner food, the hashbrowns were crispy, and the biscuits and gravy were good. I didn't get my eggs cook the way I asked, and had to tell the cashier what I had order, I was charged for something else in the menu, that was similar. Id go back, as the coffee was good.
Just plain wonderful The owner is very pleasant brighten up our day. Food is great, our waitress was also great.awesone place don't pass it by.
Great food, and great people!
I had the Mexican Platter Special and my husband had the chicken fried steak dinner and we were both very happy. Very popular place with the locals especially. Plenty of seating, but was almost full when we got there at 11:30 am and the next shift of customers was coming in at noon when we were ready to leave.
Tired of Village Inn? Go to the Copper Kitchen! Good home cooked style food, great staff, and no waiting to be seated. 👍
2nd best place in town! Best place for breakfast! Owner is a gem, and the staff is awesome. Can't beat the price or quality for early eating.
Copper Kitchen is the quintessential small town cafe. People come here to get familiar food and to catch up on things going on in town. If you’re a regular, a breakfast at “Copper” can give you a sense of belonging to the community, but its location also makes it a great option for folks coming through town on the train. Just a quick walk from the train station, the Copper Kitchen offers a quick bite and great opportunity to see a bit of what make small town living special.
Cute, cozy, great breakfast.
Great place to eat.Great food
Very nice and professional staff.
Super friendly staff. The menu isn't big but the food was terrific. We had the chicken fried steak , and breakfast burritos. Breakfast for 4 with coffee was $36.00. I highly recommend!
Today was the first time my husband and I had been to La Junta... we had already planned out lunch but was told we had to try Copper Kitchen.. so of course we had to see what all the fuss was about.. This cute tiny homey kitchen was very inviting.. we sat down and was instantly greeted by our server who was amazing friendly.. we did notice that we had gotten there so close to breakfast being over.. sadly that is what my husband wanted... but I took a chance and asked if there was ANY way to get a quick order in... to my surprise, we were granted that request with a smile and the most delicious food made to order... there is no doubt that the next time we make a trip to La Junta, we will be stopping by for some delicious comfort food that I promise you will not regret!!!
Great food. Great atmosphere. Love the people there. Never have to order. The service is that great.
So blessed that Copper Kitchen has re-opened. This restaurant feeds the soul. Love it here!
